My baby girl is 5!!!!!!

My little bug is 5! I can't believe it, it makes me so sad! She is super excited to start kindergarten and didn't even shed a tear when we went for her shots! She has found a new love in life.... Hip Hop! All she does all day is watch music videos and try to copy them. She is obsessed with the iPod, iPad, and her big earphones, she will climb up into the top of the closet and listen to music for hours! Her favorites right now are Willow Smith, Black Eyed Peas, and Usher! She will be taking a hip hop class at the studio this summer and could not be more excited. She told me the other day that she wants to be "Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas and she really likes the guy with the big mowhawk!" I think were in trouble!!!!! She wants to be just like her big sister and has to have all the same things, it annoys Mia to no end Hahaha sisterly love! She loves Kruz and is constantly bugging him too! The nick name "Bug" fits her well. She is way full of energy all the time which exhausts me but we love her anyways!

Her birthday falls into the busiest week of the year I feel like school ending, year end dance concert, dance auditions, birthday party.... I know there were more things just too overwhelmed to think of them all. So here she is on her actual birthday just a nice day at home with gifts and cake, now let the craziness begin!

My little brother got his mission call! He will be serving the Houston Texas mission. I am so proud of him for the person he is today he is a great brother and also he has the cutest girlfriend ever who has chosen to wait for him! Before it was time to go to my parents to have him open his call Mia wrote him the cutest letter about having a "fantastick mishen"! It was adorable I can't wait for her to read it in a few years so we can laugh about her cute spelling! We will miss him terribly while he is gone! Love you lots Elder Gray!

I have been wanting to update but since I don't have my computer with my pictures I have not been able to. Well here he is... Kruz Hugo Arias.
The very end of Feburary 2010 we found out we were adding one more member to our family.
Kruz was born on October 22, 2010 at 7:45 a.m.
He weighed 7lbs. 1oz. 19 1/2" long.

Hugo really wanted a boy but I thought there is no way, I thought for sure we would have another girl. We were so anxious to find out we made a gender check ultrasound for the earliest possible appointment we could. Sure enough we found out we were having a little boy and to tell you the truth I was scared! All I know is girls pink and purple, barbies, princesses, dance class, makeup, nail polish, I could go on and on. Plus to be honest little boy clothes are sooooo ugly. As the months went on I got a little more used to the idea of having a boy but I was still scared!
We decided as soon as I found out I was expecting that this would be our last child and I would have my tubes tied. I told Dr. Gourley at my first appointment that we were done and he needed to take care of things! He just looked at me and laughed. My pregnancies with the girls were so easy for the most part I didn't even feel pregnant, Kruz however was another story. I was miserable 80% of my pregnancy with him. He sat really low to the point it felt like he was going to fall right out. I could go on and on about the pains and trials of being pregnant I will just say I counted down the days thinking this was the last time I would have to be pregnant! I was due on the 29th but knew I didn't want a Halloween baby so we scheduled my c-section for the 22nd the day before my birthday!
We seriously love this little man more than words, he is the sweetest baby and so stinking adorable I hear it all day long from multiple people just how adorable he is. He is now 7 months old and pushing 21lbs. He is huge I have been buying him 12mo size clothes for awhile now and starting to buy 18mo. I swear by his first birthday he will be in 2T! He is just starting to try to push up on all 4 he usually pushes up to hands and toes like a push-up position its so funny. He wants to be mobile so badly he gets so frustrated that he is not quite there yet.

It's been over a year since I last posted and to tell you the truth time has gotten away from me! I felt that blogging had gotten to the point that I felt I needed to post what I thought everyone wanted to hear, borderline "keeping up with the Jones'"! Therefore I needed the break. After so long I kinda thought what's the point I have too much catching up to do so I had planned to delete my blog all together till last night I read my good friend Angi's blog and after I thought why do I care what others think, I really don't. So I thought about the purpose of blogging and why I had one and realized that I am getting older and I want to remember all the little things my kids do that make me smile, dates for certain events, milestones in our family so here I am, I'm back.
I am going to try to be real and not get caught up in trying to make things seem perfect when 90% of the time they are not. So in the next couple days I am going to try to do some small re-caps of events/milestones over this last year...

New years was great this year! We hung out at Steph and Victors house, ate, talked and played rock band! Eva had a blast with Andressa playing dress ups and tea party! Thanks for having us over Steph!

Christmas was great this year...we spent the whole day at home just hanging out and playing with all of the girls new toys! Eva's favorite part was having her picture taken after she opened each gift!

First off don't mind the horrible pictures they are from my phone. After all the fun we had this morning at the school programs we had quite the night. We had our employee Christmas party tonight but Eva had other plans. The girls were outside cleaning all their junk out of the car and as I was on my way outside to help them I heard Eva running inside screaming. I took one look at her and knew it was going to be a long night. She had blood all over her and it was all down her face. She had slipped on the ice and her bottom lip was split wide open. I grabbed a damp paper towel and tried to get the bleeding to stop and called Hugo. He couldn't get away from work so I called my parents and they rushed down. As soon as they saw her lip they said we have to get her to the ER. So off we headed, they told us she needed stitches. She freaked out when they had to strap her down to the bed but she didn't cry at all when they gave her the shot. She was kinda laughing the whole time.
3 stitches later she was as good as new! We ended up missing the Christmas party but there is always next year.

School programs...

Today was a busy day we had both of the girls school programs today. First we had Eva's and it was so great! She was adorable and had so much fun. Then off to Mia's, it was a typical elementary program but she was so cute! I love how she looked at me basically the entire time and not at her teacher which she was probably supposed to do! This year I wanted to take the girls to the lights at Thanksgiving Point. We decided to invite my dear friend Tricia who I call "Pat" and her kids, her husband had to work. We had so much fun it was super cold but I think the kids enjoyed it! We were able to see the raindeer they had and then we all went to In-n-Out for dinner after. Such a fun night!

Nutcracker this year was a blast! It was Eva's first year and first time ever on stage and she LOVED it!!! She was so funny to watch. Mia of course did amazing like always she is getting so big and is really turning into an amazing dancer she has some real natural talent at it! They both did all 4 performances, 2 in the mornings for the elementary students and then 2 in the nights for the parents and grandparents! We can't wait for next year already!!!!

We had a fun filled day today. We got ready and headed up to Sandy to take the girls to see "Christmas Carol" which was a fabulous movie, then headed over the the Ranch where his mom was making a huge dinner. She cooked like 7 turkeys I think. We ate there and then rushed down to Orem where we had Thanksgiving dinner at Jill and Kelly's house. She always has the cutest decorations it instantly puts you in the mood for the holiday season!

The food was amazing and we just sat around a stuffed our faces, looked through the ad's which were a little disappointing this year and watched "Christmas Vacation". We also walked over to their neighbors house who has an amazing light display to take pictures.

Ahhhhhhhh I love the holidays.

Halloween...

Things were pretty easy this year, the first couple pictures are of the girls at school. Mia was a funky ballerina and Eva was Cinderella.

On Halloween we got ready and went to the Ranch to visit Hugo then headed off to Shandee's for a party. The girls trick-or-treated a little, bobbed for apples, had donuts on a string, and decorated cookies. The girls had a ton of fun!

Eva had her first field trip with pre-school, she was super excited! We went to the pumpkin patch, walked through the corn maze, had snacks and got to take a pumpkin home. They even had little bunnies and other animals around that you could look at.

The BIG surprise...

Well here it is the day of the big surprise!!! We had a busy day to start off, Mia had school then I checked her out early to go do some product shots for a friend of mine, she has an adorable company with hats and flowers etc. just adorable things and she asked both my girls to model for her website. So after she was done we waited for Hugo to get home from work and we all jumped in the car. She knew she was getting a surprise that day and we told her we had to drive to Salt Lake to pick it up. Luckily she fell asleep so we were able to get a plan of attack ready without her knowing what was going on. We parked at the Gateway and woke up the girls. We started walking and I kept bugging her what she thought it was and she told me she thought we got her a car! Ha ha in your dreams Mia your only 7 remember!

She kept seeing all these girls with posters and things but she didn't figure out where we were going till we walked up to the big posters of Miley and I told her! She had asked me a few weeks back if we could go to the concert and I told her we didn't have enough money, ha ha I already had the tickets! She was so funny she kept acting like she was going to pass out cause she was so excited! Since it was a paperless entry and I used Hugo's credit card to buy the tickets he had to take us up to the door for us to even get in! Really kinda stupid but I guess it helps try to keep scalpers away! As soon as we were through the doors she had her $100 spent! She bought a t-shirt, program, necklace, key chain, and a massive ice cream!

We had soooooo much fun dancing and singing to all the songs. It was kinda funny cause there were so many people there screaming "Hannah" and it made Mia so mad. She kept saying "Mom, don't they know this is a Miley concert, Not Hannah Montana"!

We had a great night and she told me after it was the best birthday ever!!!

Miley's brother was the opener and Mia was not so thrilled! We only knew one of his songs and the other ones we couldn't understand, she was so happy when he was done!

Sadly she was sick with the flu and after this song we heard she threw up on the side of the stage and then she took a break. We felt so bad but after a few minutes she came back out and finished the rest of the concert and she was amazing! I have a new respect for her I can't imagine having to sing and dance around a stage for two hours with the flu!!!

Today was Mia's actual birthday. I made french toast for breakfast, one of her favorites and since we didn't get a big cake this year I stuck her candle in her toast to blow out! We just sat around a played all day until Hugo got home from work and she opened her presents which were a few outfits because her big present was not going to be ready for a couple more days!

Later that night she chose TGI Fridays for dinner which is an all around family fave. We love that place. I forgot my camera but we had a great time with family and of course she got more gifts! She even got a $100 bill from her grandma Lourdes which came in handy when we gave her her big surprise!

We are lucky to have a great family that cares so much about our girls and are super supportive I don't think holidays and birthdays would be the same without them!

Well I will have one more post for her birthday when we revealed her surprise!

Mia's birthday party...

My baby is turning 7!!!!!!!! I can't believe how fast time goes it seriously feels like I just brought her home from the hospital and now she is 7!!!!

Well for her party this year we did something a little low key since we had a big surprise waiting for her (later post), we usually have these massive parties that take me at least a month to plan and a hundred invitations to send out but this year I did things a little different.

She picked a few of her friends and cousins and we all went to "Color Me Mine". It was our first time there and I have to say I loved it! I am dying to go back and paint some things for myself! Each girl got to pick out something to paint and their paint colors and they went to town. After they were done our party host took them to have them fired and we went back a few days later to pick them up. It was so fun to see their final products because the paint they use is very dull until they fire them and then the colors really pop out!

Mia and I spent a couple days making them some necklaces with their initial on them and some little goodie bags. Mia asked my mom to make some cupcakes, she picked out some Jonas plates and cups at the store and I surprised her with the Jonas Brothers DVD for them to all watch while they painted.

It was such a great day and such an easy party. Mia got some great stuff, we couldn't ask for better friends and family!

Can't wait to see what she wants for next year!!! Goodie bags and necklaces.

Tonight Grandma and Grandpa or as Eva calls them "Super bama and bampa" came over for dinner and to watch the girls ride bikes. We had so much fun just hanging out with them, eating and talking.
After dinner Mia's friend Summer came over for a sleepover! They had so much fun playing baseball, making smores and watching the Hannah Montana movie. Well I don't know how much they watched they pretty much just copied the entire movie! They stayed up really late and giggled all night! Gosh I wish I were young again, but at least now I get to watch and listen to them! Here are a few pic's from the night.

Can you believe my baby girl is going to Pre-school!!!! It is so overwhelming with them both going to school even though Eva is only there from 9-11:15, 3 days a week it still feels so lonely. I am excited for once it sets in and I will finally have some time to do things for myself without begging someone to babysit!

She was so excited that yesterday when we took Mia she was upset that she was not going to school so this morning when I woke her up to get her ready she could not stand it she was ecstatic! She is already getting the hang of writing her name, I only showed her once but she is getting really good at it. She is such a little ball of energy sometimes I forget just how smart she is. I know she is going to have a fantastic year, and she too loves her teacher Miss. Misti.

Eva you are growing up way too fast, I love to see you and Mia bonding and you following her around. You are definitely a mommy's girl and I love it I can't get enough. I am going to miss you while you are at school but I am so excited for you to learn and make new friends! Mommy loves you Goofy!!!

Wow today was a big day! Mia switched schools this year to one much closer to home. She was really excited when I told her she didn't have to wear a uniform anymore so we spent like an hour last night deciding what she wanted to wear for her first day! We planned everything out down to the color of her nails. I think she looked adorable!

I can't believe she is in first grade, her teacher this year is Mr. Hunt and she loves him already. He is very sweet with the kids which is what she needs since she is so tender hearted.

It will be hard adjusting back to being on a schedule and with dance starting again on Monday after a two week break we are going to be going non-stop. Mia I hope you know that I love you with all my heart and I love watching you grow into this amazing little person. Hope you have a fabulous year at school!

Today is my dad's birthday so I had a 16x20 printed of this picture framed it for his present. I honestly do not know where I would be today if it were not for my dad. He is the one person I can always count on to be there for me, and the girls. He is such a hard worker and I am really so blessed to have him as my dad! Our relationship has grown so much over the last few years he really is my best friend. Dad I hope you know how much I love you and look up to you!

Winters Reunion...

Today was the Winters reunion, and it was sooooo fun. Grandma and pa were in charge this year and after Eva's birthday grandma decided to rent a slide for today which was a great idea and all the kids had a blast! It was however freezing cold and we didn't take jackets, the girls didn't seem to mind so I found a beach towell in the car and made myself a little cape! It was a great day with family!!!

This was the last day of the big vacation! It was a lot of fun, we took a tour that drove you around downtown and then drove straight into the water! It took us over to see some Sea Lions that had overtaken a dock and past all the Navy base stuff! It was really fun, we had dinner on the Pier type thing then headed back over to Mission Beach to end the night! What a great vacation! We really had a blast, Thanks so much Dad! We love you!

After spending a few days in Anaheim we drove down to San Diego to stay for a few days. On the way down we stopped at the Wild Animal Park. The girls had tonz of fun with the animals but Mia got stung by a bee like 10 min after we got there! We had to take her to the medic station to have her checked out but after the topical meds kicked in she felt a ton better!

The girls had been begging to get their faces painted so we finally gave in and they loved it!!!

Well it's that time of year, family vacation in Cali!!! This year my whole side of the family went there were 18 of us!!! Sadly Hugo could not go because of work so me and the girls went in a huge white van with my dad, mom, Trevin, Grandma & pa Winters, and me and the girls!!! We drove straight through which is always fun. On our way down Eva had to pee and we were no where near a potty so we pulled over for her to go on the side of the road only problem she would not go!!! I had to tell her to pee on the bugs, well she thought that was great then she kept asking if she could pee on the bugs!

The pics are from our first day, we spent it at Universal Studios! It was so HOT, but fun.

Well we finally did it, Hugo and the girls had their first real camping adventure! The girls had a blast and can't wait to do it again! With Hugo's work we were only able to go one night, but it was still so much fun!

Our fourth was really relaxed this year! I stayed home with the girls in the morning then after Hugo got home from work we let the girls light some smoke bombs and sparklers which they loved running through the smoke! Then while we were waiting for the fireworks to start at the junior high the girls and Hugo played Frisbee! After the fireworks we decided to go to IHOP for pancakes! It was so fun I think we shall make it tradition!

To end the big week of Strawberry days is the Parade! It was so crazy to have BOTH my girls in the parade this year! I did the parade every year as a kid and now it is so fun to see my girls doing it too! Since we live right on the route for the last two years we have had a big BBQ and watched the parade on the front lawn! Well just our luck it rained like crazy that day so our big plans were a little ruined! We still watched the entire parade despite the rain, and then ate inside! The girls had a blast and they are both soooo excited to do it again next year! The girls with their cousin Valerie who is cheering for PGJH this year!

We decided to give into the girls and take them to the carnival today! It is so dirty and trashy but hey it is a tradition I have been going since I was at least Mia's age! We did have tonz of fun and the girls loved it! Mia at the biggest hamburger I have ever seen, she is like the hamburger queen lately! Even though it was hot we had a great afternoon!

Strawberry Days Rodeo...

Oh my favorite time of the year besides Christmas!!! We go to the rodeo on Thursday night as a family but I was lucky enough to have a daddy-daughter night with my dad and go on Wed. We got rained on but it was so fun!!! I already can't wait for next year!!!!

Today was my baby girl's birthday!!! We had a pretty relaxed day which was nice!!! We started off the day just like any other Saturday with our traditional pancake breakfast then we hung out and watched tv till Hugo got home from work so we could let her open her gifts. She was so funny she would not even look at what the present was till every single piece of wrapping paper was off then she would get super excited! After presents we loaded up into the car and went to ColdStone to get some ice cream before Hugo had to go back to work. After he left for the night my side of the family came over to help me finish the rest of the massive cake from the party! My parents told the girls to wait inside while they got their surprise ready and we went outside. Then they brought out the bike they had got Eva and then surprised Mia with a bike too! Mia has had bikes before but everytime we move they seem to dissapear! She has never had one without training wheels and she is super scared of learning to ride without them! Then we all came back inside and the girls gave us makeovers with Eva's new salon set, which would explaine all the pictures of us covered in glitter!!! I was such a great day I can't believe she is officially 3 WOW!!! Can't tell you enough how much I love you goof! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!

Today was Eva's 3rd Birthday party. She had decided she wanted a Tinkerbell party so we picked the park, rented a slide, and had some food. She was so cute for like 2 days before the party she would make me sing Happy Birthday to her and she would practice blowing out her candles! She loved running around, opening her gifts and trying to blow out the candles! I did not have such a great time at first! For those of you who don't know how I am about parties, I get a little weird with wanting everything perfect! My mom sat all day making the tissue paper flowers I had the center pieces all done with fresh flowers tonz of framed pictures to display and balloons galore, which I tied onto the stroller to walk over to the park! I must have looked like a complete idiot! But anyways the wind was so bad when we were setting up that I could not use anything I had planned!!! I had my usual meltdown and then just told myself, just try to enjoy the party and I did!
I can't believe my baby is turning 3 it seems like yesterday I was calling my mom from the hospital and telling her to hurry cause I was going in for an emergency C-section and ended up with this 5lb 5oz little bundle of joy! Time flies, she is growing too quickly and I love this little ball of energy more than words can express! I love you my little Goofy, I have a feeling you are going to be trouble in a few years!!!!

One week from today my baby will be 3!!!! I can not believe how fast she is growing, she is such a goofball! So much different then Mia was at this age, Mia was so calm and obedient, Eva is total opposite! I love her to death and could not imagine my life without her!

When we asked her what she wanted the theme of her party to be she said Tinkerbell, she is obsessed with fairies and butterflies or as she calls them "dooflies" I can not convince her they are called butterflies! When we were in Disneyland she wanted a Tinkerbell dress up, but they are sooooo expensive and I knew if she got one that Mia would have to have one too so I decided to make them some dressups! Mia decided she wanted to wear her's as a skirt and after doing these pics I am sure that Eva will want to for the party too! I wanted to get some pics of her early so I could put them on the invitation so me and Shandee met up at Jill's house to use her secret garden in her backyard. I did not take into consideration that we had just went to her 3yr check up and she had to have a Hep shot that she was missing, did not even process that she would not be feeling well after and would want to sleep and get a fever until we got to Jill's got them all dressed and headed outside and then meltdown began which you see in the first two pic's!!! She cried forever and then fell asleep on my lap out on the rocks! My legs were hurting and I had not gotten any pics that I really liked so we rolled up Mia's shirt and she slept on the edge of the fountain! She is so funny she will sleep ANYWHERE!!! I got some really great shots of Mia and then decided to throw in the towel! As soon as we left Jill's she started to perk up so I asked if we went to grandmas house if she would take some pretty pic's and she agreed and she did! I still have tonz to edit but here are some! Sorry that was sooooo long!

Today was Mia's last full day of school!!! Yeah she had such a great year and had an amazing teacher who she loved! Tomorrow she only has school from 8 to 10:30! I can't wait for summer! They had their field day today and she had a blast, at one point they had a tug-of-war the girls against the boys and the girls won!!! Then Mia said all the boys started crying! I love 6 yr olds!!!

It was full of drama, oh and Eva sliced her lip with a razor just as I was leaving to pick up Mia from school! She freaked out and there was blood everywhere and I was a wreck!!! We are soooooo excited!!! I can't wait for this week to be over, no more waking up at the crack of dawn to get her ready and driving back and forth from Draper a hundred times a day, Wahoo!!! I am super sad that Mia will not be seeing her bestie Katelyn everyday we but have promised to stay close! We have so much going on the next couple weeks last week of school, dance recitals, Eva's birthday Ahhhh! I feel a little overwhelmed at this point but I will be happy once it is all over!

Today she had crazy hair and P.J. day at school so we made her a bun hawk! I think it is really cute, we saw the idea online and since her hair is so long I thought it would be perfect and fast to do so early in the morning! Look how big our kittens are getting! They are so fun right now, they will jump around and chase the kids when they run and today they ate cat food for the first time and they loved it they kept chomping on it it was so cute cause the little pieces of food are too big for their mouths so they have to bite them in half! They are getting so curious that they wont stay in their little box anymore they jump out as soon as you put them in! The girls just adore them, I love seeing them interact with them!

I got a call last week from Mia's school to tell me that Mia had been selected for an award for their art program. They have been doing a program called "Meet the Masters" where they have been studying all the great artists and then they would do an art project using the same techniques that the artists used. They had all the kids pick one of their projects from the year and submit it into the school contest. They sent all the projects to the high school and had the art teachers pick 3 winners from eat grade and Mia won! She was so excited to go to the award ceremony and get her award! We are soooo proud of you Mia! We love you!

Spring break around here was a little crazy!!! We had a freak snow storm on the 15th it seemed like it was December I didn't get any pics of the crazy storm but we did wake up to no tv internet or phone! *Day 5*

The last day of our trip we spent in Santa Monica at the beach! We decided to go there so Mia could see where part of the new Hannah Montana movie was filmed! It was a little chilly but the girls didn't care! They had so much fun digging in the sand and playing in the water! One of the waves plowed Mia over and she kept telling people that she drowned! It was so funny! I was so sad the vacation was over but it was a great way to spend the last day, relaxing on the beach!

*Day 4*

This was our last day in Disneyland :( We were so sad to be leaving but we had a great last day! We spent most of the day in California Adventure. We saw the High School Musical show which was a must for Mia then we were off to Playhouse Disney Live for Eva! We all loved this show both the girls got into the action and had a blast! Then we spent some time in the bugs life area before it was time to surprise the girls again with lunch with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto! It was so much fun, the food was soooo good and it was nice to sit and relax while all the princesses came to us! After lunch we took the girls down to the boardwalk to play some games and win a few prizes! We had been so busy the other two days that we did not stop to see any of the parades so we ran over to the Magic Kingdom to catch the last parade of the day. As we were getting ready to leave one of the staff members came over to Mia and gave her a button and told her that she was now an Honorary Citizen of Disneyland!!! She thought that was so awesome and still has the button pinned to her pillow on her bed! What a great way to end our Disney getaway!

*Day 3*

Here is our second day in Disneyland we had so much fun! We got to meet Tinkerbell which is the baby's favorite right now! They were so cute with the girls, they kept smelling their flowers on their heads and were super sweet!

Then we headed over to California Adventure to ride Toy Story Mania which ended up being Mia's favorite ride! We had a super fun day with lots of LONG lines and great memories! Here are a few more pictures!

Ok so I am finally posting day 2, wow it took me a whole week! Maybe I will be able to finish the rest of the trip this weekend but I am not promising anything!!!

*Day 2*

This was the day of the big Disneyland reveal! We got up and started to get ready, Mia was begging us to go swimming in the pool so we told her we had decided to go to a different hotel with a huge pool! As I was getting them dressed all Mia kept asking was why are we putting on our regular clothes and not our swim suits I had to keep making up stories to distract her.

We loaded the car back up and started driving, as soon as we got to Harbor Blvd. I turned on the video camera and was asking the girls where we had been and where we were going, then they started seeing all the banners that line the street and Mia said "I think were in Disneyland!" We told her there was no way that we had turned to go home and then she said " Dad, I think you turned the wrong way cause we are in Disneyland, LOOK!" By then we were at the gate and we told them that we had tricked them and we had planned the trip all without them knowing! They were soooo excited!

We spent almost the whole day at the park, here are a few pics from the first day! The lines were really really long, I had to wait in line for almost 45 min. just to get our park hoppers, but it was nice weather and we enjoyed being there as a family!

Ok wow it has been a long time since I have posted! We have had a ton going on and I have sooo much stuff I could blog about before the trip but I hate back blogging so I am just going to start here!

We decided this year to surprise the girls with a trip to Disneyland! My parents were going to be in Vegas that weekend and Mia had been talking about going to M&M World in Vegas so it was the perfect excuse!

*Day 1*

We woke the girls up early Sunday the 5th, loaded the car and headed out! We made it to Vegas just in time to meet up with my family so they could spend a couple hours with us going to go to M&M World and have lunch. Then we were off again! We told Mia that we were going to drive towards home and look for a hotel. Luckily she fell asleep so we were able to drive straight into Anaheim without her knowing, she thought we were still by Vegas when she woke up because of the palm trees! We just stopped at the first hotel we could find within safe distance of Disney grabbed a quick dinner and rested for the night watching tv and jumping on the bed!!!

Last Saturday was Mia's first dance competition of the season! She was so excited she counted down the days till it was time! We went to Mc Hammer and Vanilla Ice the night before so my mom had to put Mia's curlers in and her hair turned out amazing and stayed curled through the next day! I guess all those years of putting my hair in rollers paid off my mom is the master! Mia did amazing I am so proud of her and she can't wait till tomorrow because she has another competition! Well we are sooo happy with the weather we have been having, the girls have been waiting for it to warm up so they can go out back with grandpa to feed the cows and play!!! They are going to be very dissapointed this week knowing the direction the weather is headed! We were able to get some fun pictures of them playing this weekend, they LOVE hanging out with grandpa it is something they look forward to each day!The cows, grandpas babies. He named them both Bessy! I edited this pic so that dad could use it as a joke on his screen saver at work!!! :)

And for those of you who know me well, know that I do NOT want pets, but one day my parents found this stupid cat living out in the shed almost starved to death so my mom fed it and now it won't leave!!! So now the girls have a pet, as long as it stays outside I am fine with it, but when we open the door and it sneaks inside I freak out! Maybe one day it will leave and I wont have to deal with it any more!

Well we didn't have a very exciting V-day. Hugo had to work so I decided to decorate the table a little and make the girls a Valentines themed lunch. I made them little mail boxes and crowns, we had heart shapped Peanut-butter and honey sandwiches, heart shapped oreo cakesters, and pink colored milk! The girls thought it was sooo much fun, I believe it will become tradition in our house from now on!!! I did get MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice concert tickets so I was pretty stoked all day!

This weekend was Shandee's little Max's 1st birthday! I can't believe he is one already it seems like yesterday that we were planning the baby shower! I can't even tell you how much I love this little boy, he is my little buddy!

We started celebrating on Friday the 6th his actual birthday, Shandee was so sad that her hubby Mike had to work and didn't want Max to stay home on his big day so we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. It was so much fun, then we had dinner at the Ranch and we spent a couple hours at the mall.

Well the other day we had planned to take the girls to Park City but the weather was so yucky we decided to take them to Discover Gateway at the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake. We had such a fun day! Mia has been wanting me to take some pictures of how long her hair is getting. For how many times I have cut her her I am amazed I have let it get this long! We cut about 5 inches off the night before school started and I think she grew that 5" back plus more! She loves it and I always tease her and tell her I am going to cut it all off and she throws a fit. Now when she is in the shower and her hair is wet it touches her bum crack and she laughs everytime I wash her hair! I am sad that she has lost almost all of her beautiful natural curls that she had when she was younger. :( It now has a soft wave on the top and some curls underneath! You are just groing up way to fast for me Mia!!! I love you more each minute!

We spent New Years at home this year for the first year ever since we have been married. Me and the girls went to the store and stocked up on junk and they picked out some sparkling grape juice, party hats, noise makers, and party poppers! We watched a little of each of the shows that were on we had to make sure to watch Miley on MTV then Hugo came home around 11 we ate tonz of junk watched the ball drop, drank the grape juice popped the confetti had confetti fights then went to bed! It was nice to spend the night home with the girls!!! Can't wait to see what 2009 is going to bring!

Today was Christmas and what more could I say but we had a great day! The girls got spoiled like always I made french toast and ham for breakfast we ate treats all day watched movies and just hung out with the family! Then we had take-out from the ranch for dinner, we also ate there last year so it is kinda becoming a tradition, ha ha!

We were invited by Jared our Sysco rep to attend a black tie dinner for Somos, a Scholarship program at the Grand America last night! Mia is almost done with all of her performances of the Nutcracker! I didn't get any pictures of her on stage sadly I forgot my memory card was in the computer, but I did take these pics of her before her performance this morning! She did a great job and I am so proud of her!! I love you Mia!!!!

Letters to Santa!!!

We were a little late this year sending out our lists! We usually do it the night of Thanksgiving but silly me I forgot to get the cookies! So we had to postpone till Sunday night! Both of the girls had a blast looking through the toy books to decide what they wanted to ask for! Then we signed them and put them in our magical Santa mailbox and set out the milk and cookies like always and went to bed! When Mia woke up she was so excited to see that Santa ate all the cookies and drank all the milk! Now she is just counting down the days till Christmas!

We had a super busy day on Sunday this week! We were almost done decorating for Christmas and we had two birthday parties one on each side of the family!!! We got up and I tried to finish what I could with the decorations while the girls watched Christmas movies, then we got ready to drive up to sandy for the first party. Vita turned 7 and we celebrated at Chuck E Cheese the girls had a blast and came home with all kinds of goodies! Then we drove straight to Orem to my aunt Jill's for Braxton's birthday, he turned 6. While we were there my uncle let us walk across the street to see his boss' house and lights! We got to walk the grounds and see everything twinkling! It was so funny to watch all the cars drive past to look at the lights and slow down and stare as we were walking through the gates wondering if we were breaking in! The lights were really so amazing! Thanks again Kelly! Here are just a few random pics from the day! My kids were so not in the mood to take pictures this day!!!
